The CalmAmp TTU-2830 is a weatherproof trailer tracking device that is designed for reliable and long-term deployments. It is equipped with a rechargeable battery pack, making it an ideal solution for managing assets that are normally tethered to 12 or 24 volt systems but may sit disconnected for periods of time. This tracker features a small size, superior GPS performance, and an internal 5.2 Ah battery. It also has three inputs and three outputs (I/O), providing flexibility for various applications.
The TTU-2830 utilizes next-generation, super-sensitive GPS technology and can be installed in or on any 12 or 24 volt mobile vehicle. It eliminates the need for wired antennas with its superior internal antennas for both cellular and GPS, allowing for easy and inexpensive installations. The device communicates through GPRS, CDMA 1xRTT, and HSPA cellular networks, ensuring reliable and efficient message transport. With enhanced SMS or UDP messaging, the TTU-2830 establishes a reliable communications link between the device and your application servers.
One of the standout features of the TTU-2830 is CalAmp's industry-leading on-board alert engine, PEG (Programmable Event Generator). This advanced engine monitors external conditions and supports customer-defined expectation-based rules, allowing you to meet the specific needs of your application. PEG continuously monitors the vehicle environment and responds instantaneously to pre-defined threshold conditions related to time, date, motion, location, geo-zone, input, and other event combinations.
In addition, the TTU-2830 benefits from CalAmp's over-the-air device management and maintenance system, PULS (Programming, Updates, and Logistics System). This system allows for easy configuration parameter updates, PEG rule modifications, and firmware upgrades over the air. With PULS, you can monitor the health status of units across your customers' fleets, enabling you to quickly identify and address any issues before they become costly problems.
